x+y =11----- (1)
2x-y=4 ------ (2)
Using substitution method
From equation 1:
x=11-y------- (3)
Substitute x = 11-y in equation 2.
i.e ; 2X-y=4
2(11-y) -y =4
22-2y -y =4
22-3y=4
22-4=3y
18=3y
y==18/3=6
y=6.
Substitute y = 6 in equation 3.
i.e. x=11-y
x=11-6=5
x=5, y=6.
